Muriel Taylor
Author - Minister/Teacher - Spiritual Counselor
Thank you for taking the time to check out my website and register for our upcoming classes. I am the Instructor and Founder of The Salt Shakers Women's Bible Study. This Bible Study originated in the 1990's when the Lord directed me to hold Bible studies during my lunch hour with other co-workers at FedEx HQ, in Memphis, TN. From there I began teaching Bible studies in my home for women of all ages, colors, and denominations. This journey has been a great delight and I praise God for this opportunity to serve Him.
I am a native of St. Louis, Missouri (USA) and have been married to my high school sweetheart and friend, Eld. Anthony Taylor (Tony), for 46 years. I am the proud and blessed mother of two adult children: (Eld. Sean Anthony and Synnamon Rae), and the grandmother of six beautiful grandchildren.
I presently serve at Brown Missionary Baptist Church in Southaven, Mississippi under the leadership of Pastor Bartholomew Orr in the capacities of Associate Minister, Sunday School Instructor, Mentor, Marriage Counselor, and Conference Coordinator for the Contending for the Faith Annual Preachers & Teachers Conference).
I was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society at Union University in 2010, and was on the Dean's List for Fall 2011. On May 19, 2012, I received my Bachelor's of Science in Organizational Leadership (Management), and graduated cum laude at Union University, in Germantown, TN. Graduated from Union University's School of Theology & Missions - Master's in Christian Studies (MCS), December 13, 2014), and received my Certification in Exegetical and Expository Preaching at the 2013 E.K. Bailey Conference in Dallas, Texas.
I am a graduate of the Memphis Citizen's Police Academy Class of 2005; Co-Founder and President/CEO of Embers, Inc.; and Retired Director Administrator in International Sales at the FedEx Corporation.
Author and Publisher of "Look At God: Testimony of a Breast Cancer Survivor." More info about purchasing copies of my book can be obtained by emailing me at [email protected].
My hobbies consist of reading, traveling, listening to classical, gospel, and jazz music. I also love the beaches of the Emerald Coasts, especially Destin, Seaside, and Fort Walton Beach, FL. I have been blessed to travel to Canada (various locations), Alaska, Belize, Heidelberg, Germany, Switzerland, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, London, Paris, Ireland, Rome, Italy (Florence & Pisa as well).
I am excited about what God is doing with the Salt Shakers Women's Bible Study. If you want to experience great fellowship, dig deeper into the Scriptures, and meet with other ladies who love the Lord and His Word, you are coming to the right place - we look forward to sharing God's Word with you as you commit to this study.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected]. I look forward to seeing you soon!

Minister Muriel Taylor
